The Historical Golconda Fort is built in the outskirts of Hyderabad city. This fort is as old as the Charminar.
Golconda used to be residential palace of the Nizam Nawabs who ruled Hyderabad 400 years ago.
The fort has several gardens, lakes, palaces, horse and elephant stables and many more beautiful spots to look at.
Golconda fort looks very beautiful during night with lights lit around the fort. This fort has witnessed several wars and invasions, but even after 400 years it stands tall explaining it's history and it's rulers' history to the thousands of Indian and foreign tourists visiting it. Golconda is one of the places which makes beautiful Hyderabad city even more beautiful.
