Hussain Sagar Lake is situated in the midst of Hyderabad and Secunderabad city. During the reign of Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah the mighty ruler of Nizam dynasty in 1562A.D. Hussain Shah Wali excavated the lake, Sagar represents water body and the lake is named as Hussain Sagar, Hussain being the first name of the excavater.
Hussain Sagar Lake links the beautiful city of Hyderbad with Secunderabad, making the twin cities. Even today lot many people spend their time on the shore of Hussain Sagar Lake.
Hussain Sagar becomes more lively in the evening and night time. Many tourists enjoy boating in the lake, in the midst of the lake Buddha Statue is built and around the statue small park is built where tourists reach by travelling in the boat.
